Warren East High School hosts huge career fair after two year break
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren East High School students got to meet many of our city leaders this morning, and some might have just gotten a look at their future jobs.
Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors at Warren East met with 54 different organizations at their College and Career Fair.
This is the school’s first job fair in two years due to Covid-19.
Colleges and businesses like Western Kentucky University, the Army National Guard, Med Center Health, Kentucky State Police and many more spoke to the next generation of Warren County.
Warren East High School Youth Service Coordinator Alice Elkins set up this job fair, and she’s happy to see how interactive the kids have been.
“Some kids come in here for one table only and go straight to that table, and other kids have been sauntering around and finding something they’re interested in, so it’s been really neat,” said Elkins.
Elkins says while the Career Fair used to only be for 10th graders, they wanted to involve all three grades post-pandemic.
