BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local football coach has submitted his resignation.

Tanner Hall, former head football coach for Warren East High School, submitted a resignation letter to Principal Jonathan Vincent on Thursday morning.

In the letter, Hall says, “This season, I have been on suspension pending an allegation stemming from August 7, 2025. The Department of Community Based Services investigated the matter and ruled the allegation unsubstantiated. While I am grateful the investigation has cleared me to return to the classroom, I believe it is in the best interest of the program, the players, and the community that I step aside from the football program at this time.”

Hall goes on to say that the situation should not be a distraction for the team.

“Unfortunately, I believe this situation has served as a distraction. For the remainder of the 2025 season, I wish the focus to stay on their growth, success, and love of the game,” says Hall.

Hall was named Warren East’s Head Football Coach on March 8, 2023.

Hall won six games in 2023 and six games in 2024.

Warren East is 1-4 this season.
