Warren County’s population grows more than any other county in Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- New Census numbers show Warren County is growing faster than any other county in the Commonwealth.

The just-released Census numbers are for the 2017-2018 fiscal year.

It shows that Warren County gained more new residents than any other county in Kentucky, 2,269 residents, to be exact.

As of July 1, 2018, there were 131,264 people living in Warren County. The number includes the city of Bowling Green and other incorporated and unincorporated areas in the county.

Warren County Judge-Executive Michael Buchanon says he’s very proud of the numbers.

“We have a great place to live,” Buchanon said. “The quality of life here in Warren County is unsurpassed. It’s not as hard to attract new businesses or new people to Warren County as it is to many other areas.”

According to the Census numbers, Hardin County came in second for population growth, followed by Fayette County.
