Warren County Sheriff’s Office receives trauma kits
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – New life saving tools are heading to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office as they receive new trauma kits.
The kits contain bandages, tourniquets, hand sanitizer and a pair of scissors to cut through clothing.
These are just some of the many items that can help save a life during a traumatic accident, such as a car wreck.
The sheriff received these kits while at the Kentucky Sheriff’s Conference in Owensboro last week, courtesy of Sheep Dog Impact Assistance.
“They saw a need across the state of Kentucky that, there’s always an additional cost with any type of a purchasing of equipment and they saw that there was this kind of gap there particularly for law enforcement. So they stepped forward and and were able to reach out to all Kentucky sheriff’s offices,” Sheriff Brett Hightower says.
Sheriff Hightower also says he hopes there is not a need for these kits, but it’s nice to have them for each deputy if the situation calls for it.
