Warren County Schools superintendent to propose updated quarantine guidelines to school board
BOWLING GREEN Ky.-Warren County Schools superintendent Rob Clayton is proposing new updated quarantine guidelines for the district.
The proposal is that close contacts will not be required to quarantine as long as masks are worn properly, and the individual in question does not display symptoms of COVID-19. this would be the case whether the person was vaccinated or not.
Superintendent Clayton says this comes as there has been a low incidence rate of quarantined students testing positive this year. Additionally, Clayton said the mask requirement will continue at least through October, in order to monitor cases after students have been on break.
Clayton says having students in school buildings 5 days a week has benefited students and staff in a number of ways, and the goal is to keep that momentum going.
“I fully recognize that these are difficult and challenging times for all of us. Please be assured that our district leaders, faculty, and staff are committed to continuing our best efforts to provide our students and staff with a safe environment with opportunities for learning, growth, and achievement,” Clayton said.
