BOWLING GREEN Ky.-The Warren County School District voted to pass a redistricting plan on Monday.

The board met at Greenwood High School and ran a live-streamed meeting, where topics such as financial reports, student support services and the redistricting plan were discussed.

This plan has been a topic of discussion due to the growing population in the city of Bowling Green, as well as construction of the new Cumberland Trace Elementary.

The redistricting motion passed 5-0. Members of the school board emphasized that past data shows newly built schools tend to attract many students.

An important date coming up for Warren County students is March 1, which will be the start of in-person instruction 4 days a week for students who chose that option.
