Warren County Public Schools takes action after staff member may have been exposed to coronavirus
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Warren County Public School District is taking immediate action after officials learned that an employee may have been exposed to the coronavirus.
According to a statement from the district, the employee has a family member who tested positive for COVID-19. The employee has not tested positive and is not experiencing any symptoms. The district said the employee is now in self-quarantine.
The employee was recently helping with feeding sites, specifically the sites served by Henry Moss Middle School. According to the statement, all individuals who have had contact with the individual have agreed to self-quarantine as well.
The district has made the decision to temporarily close the Henry Moss Middle School kitchen out of an abundance of caution. The district will continue to provide meals at regular stops after moving feeding operations from the middle school to other locations.
According to the Barren River District Health Dept., anyone who came into contact with someone who this employee was in contact with, is at low risk and there is no need to self-quarantine.
