Warren County Public Schools kicks off Day of Caring

WARREN COUNTY, KY.- The day of caring came a little early this month for Warren County Public Schools. They partnered with United Way, Habitat for Humanity and WCPS leaders to help families in Warren County by painting, installing floors and revitalizing homes for people who need it most.

We spoke with volunteers and staff at Warren County Public Schools and learned how this impacts students. Dr. Tracey Young the Director of Grants and Community Outreach tells us, “We see every day in the world of education that there are barriers and there are non-academic barriers that our families face. And as a community, we have to come together as a whole and remove those barriers so that our kids can perform at the highest level.”

These acts of kindness don’t just impact one person, and Warren County Public Schools wants to encourage everyone to get involved on the day of caring however you can.
