Warren County Public Schools hosts open house to celebrate holiday season

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Tuesday afternoon, Warren County Public Schools staff invited members of the community to their board of education building on Lovers Lane to celebrate the holiday season.

Partners in the community, local officials and staff with the school system got to take part in some food and checking out the holiday decorations.

A unique aspect of this open house is that each school’s cafeteria staff got to make an item to be served.

Staff say this is a perfect opportunity to show off the talents of what they do behind the scenes to the community.

“This time of year, it’s fun to make different items, different sweet treats and different things that are healthy, and so we’ve, every school has made an item here. So every item that is here, a school has made and again it’s a great opportunity for them to showcase the wonderful talents that our staff has,” Kelly Holt, director of Nutrition & Dining Services for Warren County Public Schools, says.

Superintendent Rob Clayton says this is also a great opportunity to show thanks to those that help their students learn each and every day in the classroom.
