Warren County Public Schools host toy and sports equipment drive

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren County Public Schools is hosting a drive, collecting gifts for families that may not be able to get them.

At any athletic event, including basketball games, until December 21st, you can donate toys and sports equipment to help children in our community.

You can drop these off at any of the four middle or high schools in Warren County. At the ticket stand, there will be a box where you can place your unwrapped toy or equipment.

Staff says this is also a great opportunity for student-athletes to learn about some of the needs our community faces.

“Hopefully, it’ll touch lives. You know, there’s a lot of need out there, and sometimes I don’t think our student athletes understand that there is that need there, but this will give them an opportunity not only to collect items but also understand when we deliver that those needs are being met,” Greg Howard, WCPS’s athletic director says.

Again, you can donate at any WCPS athletic event until Saturday, December 21st.

So when you go out to root for the Spartans, Raiders, Dragons or Gators, bring a toy or a basketball along to help those in need this holiday season.
