Warren County Public Library To Host Author/Legal Analyst Lis Wiehl

The Warren County Public Library will host Lis Wiehl on Thursday, February 13 at 6:00 p.m.  Wiehl will discuss her latest title Snapshot.

The new book is a “snapshot” of the tumultuous 1960s.  Wiehl states the idea for the book came from a photo of her sitting next to an African-American girl at a civil rights rally in the 1960s. The story features a present day federal prosecutor who is called by her estranged father to help him exonerate a man convicted of killing a civil rights leader at that rally.  Her father is a retired FBI agent who worked the case in 1965 and is convinced the man about to be executed is not guilty.

Lis Wiehl is one of the nation's most prominent trial lawyers and highly regarded commentators.  Currently, she is the legal analyst and reporter on the Fox News Channel and Bill O'Reilly's sparring partner in the weekly “Is It Legal?” segment on The O'Reilly Factor. She is also a Professor of Law at New York Law School.  She has also written six best-selling books.

Prior to joining Fox News Channel in New York City, Lis served as a legal analyst and reporter for NBC News and NPR's All Things Considered.  Before that, she served as a Federal Prosecutor in the United States Attorney's office. Lis earned her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and her Master of Arts in Literature from the University of Queensland.
