Warren County leaders vote on resolution supporting Second Amendment
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Elected leaders in Warren County are assuring gun owners that they are staunch supporters of the Second Amendment.
At Friday morning’s Fiscal Court meeting, Warren County magistrates voted unanimously on a resolution supporting the Second Amendment.
The resolution is merely symbolic.
Multiple gun owners living in the county asked elected leaders to pass the resolution over fears of legislation that could restrict the right to bear arms. It’s an effort taking place around the nation.
Friday’s vote did not make Warren County a Second Amendment Sanctuary. Second Amendment Sanctuary’s are states, counties and towns that adopt laws to prohibit or impede the enforcement of certain gun control measures.
