Warren County Government releases storm debris cleanup update

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Warren County Road Department is continuing to remove trees and limbs that are blocking roadways.

According to a release by the Warren County Government, removal of debris on private property is the responsibility of the property owner.

The release states private contractors hired to cut trees and limbers are responsible for hauling debris offsite. Any debris previously left on a curb by a contractor is the responsibility of the property owner to have removed, officials say.

Officials also are reminding residents to make sure the companies they hire are insured.

Residential debris cut by property owners will be picked up by your sanitation company, as long as it is vegetation only. Brush and limbs should be stacked neatly beside the garbage cart and should be no longer than 4 feet long and 6 inches in diameter, officials say.

You must contact your provider directly to schedule pickup to verify debris size, which may vary.

Brush/limbs may also be hauled to Simply Mulch for a small fee. They are located at 1900 Veterans Memorial Lane and open Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For pricing or other questions, call 270-842-4011.

For questions or clarification, please contact Lawrence White, Warren County Solid Waste Coordinator, at 270-843-5353.
