Warren County 11U Softball headed to state championship in first season

SOUTH SHORE, Ky. – In the squad’s first sanctioned season, the Warren County 11U Little League All-Star Softball team is putting not only the area, but also the rest of the bluegrass on notice.

Despite dropping a matchup with Frankfort earlier in the week, Warren County fought back in the competition to take down Marion County, North Oldham and Frankfort in a rematch on Wednesday evening.

The ticket that was punched for a chance at the trophy came in thrilling fashion, as Warren County won 6-5 on a walk off single in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Next up, it’s time for a title matchup with Knox County on Thursday evening, which will take place at Stan Spence Field.
