Warren Central tops No. 2 Male in First Round of the Sweet Sixteen

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Warren Central Dragons kicked the second day of the 2022 UK Healthcare Sweet Sixteen off with a bang.

The Dragons were set for a showdown with the Male Bulldogs, a team that was expected to make a deep run this year, with Louisville commit Kaleb Glenn at the reigns.

Warren Central stunned Male earlier this afternoon, beating the Bulldogs 57-54 in an overtime win, advancing to the quarterfinals.

Omari Glover led the way for the Dragons with 20 points and nine rebounds, while Chappelle Whitney tallied 14 points and six rebounds.

Senior star, Jaiden Lawrence, had no intentions of going home as he finished the afternoon with 12 points for Warren Central.

The Dragons are now set for a matchup with Murray tomorrow night at 7:30 PM Central Time.
