Warning sirens tested throughout Kentucky Wednesday morning
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Loud sirens could be heard going off at 9:07 a.m. Wednesday around Kentucky.
As part of severe weather preparedness week, the Community Outdoor Warning Sirens (COWS) are tested to give residents the opportunity to practice a severe weather safety plan.
The sirens are designed to alert individuals that are outside to get indoors to a safe location and tune in to the television or a weather radio for additional information.
