Warming shelters open the week of Jan. 13

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Cold temperatures continue into Monday after winter weather swept through south-central Kentucky.

If someone you know is looking to escape the elements, there are still some warming centers open this week:

Warren County 

• The Capitol Theatre has its doors open Monday, Jan. 13 and Wednesday from 7 a.m. t0 4:30 p.m.
• Tomorrow, The Wellness Connection with be available as a warming option from 8 a.m. t0 4:30 p.m. It will also be available Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. t0 4 p.m.
• From Monday through Friday, The Salvation Army’s Center of Hope at 400 W. Main Ave. is open as a warming center when temperatures drop below freezing. More information here.

Allen County

Barren County 

• Bridge Kentucky from 8 a.m. t0 5 p.m. every day at 1411 N. Race St. in Glasgow.

Transportation is available through the Warren County Public Library’s Little Shuttle or the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
