WANTED WEDNESDAY: Man wanted after pursuit into Butler County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police says a man is wanted in connection with a multi-county pursuit in May.

Troopers say they are working to locate Anthony Manning, 28, of Hopkinsville.

According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers were conducting a traffic safety checkpoint in Hart County on May 24 around 10:09 p.m. when they saw a 2015 Mercedes GL3.

Troopers say Manning was identified as the driver, who was traveling with an unknown passenger.

Manning fled from the traffic checkpoint to U.S. 31-E, eventually crossing from Hart County into Butler County.

Troopers say after Butler County sheriff’s deputies located a vehicle at a Morgantown, Kentucky gas station, Manning and the passenger fled on foot. The unknown passenger brandished a firearm during this time, authorities say.

No deputies were injured during this incident, authorities say.

Manning is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Manning faces charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree fleeing and evading and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
