WANTED WEDNESDAY: Man wanted after allegedly fleeing police

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – One man is wanted by the Kentucky State Police after troopers say he ran from them after a traffic stop.

Authorities say Salathiel Shannon, 48, ran from the scene following a traffic stop.

The Kentucky State Police says that on March 12, a trooper noticed a car on Louisville Road with expired tags.

After a traffic stop, authorities say the driver told them he had no ID.

The driver then provided a social security number and name of L.D. Shannon, according to a complaint warrant.

After investigating, authorities determined the social security number belonged to another person.

While troopers were working to gather information, they say the driver exited the car and began running. A lengthy pursuit followed, but Shannon was not apprehended.

Later, troopers say they determined that a false date of birth and social security number provided by Shannon were both one number off from Shannon’s confirmed date of birth and social security number.

If you recognize Shannon or have any information, call the Kentucky State Police at 270-782-2010.
