Wanted man flees scene of collision, considered armed and dangerous
MORTONS GAP, Ky. – State police are searching for a man who is considered armed and dangerous.
On Wednesday, Kentucky State Police Post 2 responded to a call from the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office for assistance in an investigation.
HCSO says a suspect fled from the scene of a collision on foot.
KSP’s initial investigation shows Jonathan Ray Ruby, 45, of White Plains, engaged in a physical altercation at the scene of the crash before HCSO deputies arrived.
Jonathan Ruby is described as a white male, 6’ 1”, 260 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing camouflage pants, a red shirt, and a black jacket.
KSP says Ruby is considered armed and dangerous.
Ruby is currently wanted on felony warrants including fleeing or evading police, trafficking in a controlled substance, and parole violations.
Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Kentucky State Police, Kentucky State Police Aircraft Branch, Madisonville Police Department, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Kentucky State Police Commercial Motor Vehicle.
