Wanted man arrested on drug charges in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man wanted on an indictment warrant is now facing drug charges in Bowling Green.
According to a uniform citation, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office saw a vehicle parked at a no parking sign at 6:15 a.m. Sunday at Key Oil off of Glasgow Road.
Deputies say they approached the driver, identified as 43-year-old Jeremy Pitak of Bowling Green, who was asleep in the driver’s seat.
According to deputies, when Pitak provided his license information, they learned he had three outstanding warrants in Warren and neighboring counties.
Pitak exited the vehicle and was detained. Deputies say during a vehicle search, they found a jar containing a total of 4 grams of suspected methamphetamine, along with 14 tablets of suspected Xanax TS.
Pitak confirmed the vehicle was his. He was arrested and transported to the Warren County Regional Jail.
Pitak is charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified) and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second or greater offense (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine).
According to a separate uniform citation, Pitak was also arrested on an indictment warrant for charges of third-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition – firearm, theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others and persistent felony offender.
