Wanted man and wanted woman arrested at Scottsville residence

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. –  Two wanted subjects have been apprehended at an Allen County home.

According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded on Thursday to McDonald Road in reference to finding a female subject with multiple active arrest warrants out of several counties and another state.

Upon arrival, deputies say they made contact with 40-year-old Tyson Surls of Bethpage, Tennessee. Deputies say they discovered Surls was wanted on an active arrest warrant from Tennessee.

Authorities say Surls stated no one else was at the home.

Deputies say they executed a search warrant at the residence and located 27-year-old Kellie Scruggs of Adolphus.

Scruggs and Surls were arrested and transported to the Allen County Detention Center.

Scruggs faces charges of false report of an incident to law enforcement and failure to appear, along with the outstanding warrant. Surls is charged with second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension, along with the served warrant.
