Wanted Bowling Green man charged in alleged theft

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A wanted Bowling Green man is behind bars in connection with an alleged theft case.

According to a uniform citation, Bowling Green police observed a subject with active warrants in the area of 400 East Riverview Drive on Thursday.

Authorities say the subject was identified as 38-year-old Edward Rich of Bowling Green.

Rich was taken into custody.

Earlier that day, police say Rich was also a suspect in a theft case.

According to police, Rich was suspected of stealing a laptop.

Authorities say they found a laptop fitting the description of the item when Rich was taken into custody.

Police say Rich stated the laptop belonged to him and that he had met the owner to exchange electronics.

Rich was arrested and remains at the Warren County Regional Jail on charges of receiving stolen property and failure to appear, along with serving a warrant for another police agency.
