Wanted Bowling Green man apprehended, charged with trafficking fentanyl

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A wanted Bowling Green man is now behind bars on multiple charges, including trafficking fentanyl.

According to a uniform citation, the Bowling Green Police Department spotted a vehicle known to be driven by 35-year-old Adam England of Bowling Green on Friday. Police say England was wanted on an active warrant.

Police say the vehicle stopped at a residence on Johnson Drive, where England and another individual were taken into custody.

Authorities say England’s windshield had a large crack over nearly half of the windshield, which would obstruct vision.

According to the citation, a K-9 gave a positive alert on England’s vehicle, leading to a search. Police say they discovered 3.9 grams of fentanyl, bags, needles, marijuana, methamphetamine, other paraphernalia and burglary tools.

England was transported to the Warren County Regional Jail.

He faces charges of obstructed vision and/or windshield, trafficking in a controlled substance (fentanyl), first offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first offense, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, possession of burglary tools, prescription controlled substance not in proper container, first offense, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, first offense and license to be in possession.
