Walk to End Alzheimer’s raises money for a cure

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Circus Square Park was decked out in purple on Saturday for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

The walk is an annual event to raise awareness of the disease which causes memory loss and behavior changes in those who suffer from the illness.

Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States, so this event is a chance to raise money to help find a cure.

This year’s walk raised an estimated $127,000, beating out last year’s total. Organizers estimate 400 people took part in the walk.
