Walk to End Alzheimer’s holds kickoff for 2024 walk
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Walk to End Alzheimer’s held their kickoff event today to help raise funds for those suffering from this disease.
This allows for businesses and community members to sign up to walk at Bowling Green Ballpark in September, as well as recognize the top donors from last year’s walk.
We spoke to the top individual donor from last year, who shares why he decides to walk to end this disease.
“I hate Alzheimer’s. It’s such a terrible disease… and it ends up affecting almost every single family, if they have a big enough family. So I hope one day we won’t have to have the walk and that we can find a real cure.. That’s what I hope,” Stan Markham says.
The walk takes place in September, so you still have plenty of time to sign up if you’d like to walk.
You can visit act.alz.org to sign up for the walk.
