Voters may still have a say on whether to turn Warren County wet
There is still a chance registered voters in Warren County will have a say on whether to turn it from a dry county to a wet county.
At 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, 12,300 signatures were required in order to get the question on the November ballot. There were only 5,858 collected.
However, citing a state statute concerning local elections (KSP242.030), Warren County Clerk, Lynette Yates, tells WNKY the petitioning group will now have until August 24 to collect the remaining number of signatures required, which equals 6,444.
The sale of alcohol is prohibited in unincorporated areas of the county, however it is permitted in Bowling Green and Plum Springs.
