Voter turnout for the local viewing area

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – News 40 gathered the final numbers on voter turnout for the 2024 primary election in our viewing area. The following are unofficial results, which you can access here.

Barren County
Registered Voters: 32,153
Ballots Cast: 3,354
Voter Turnout: 10.43%
Butler County
Registered Voters: 9,201
Ballots Cast: 1,165
Voter Turnout: 12.66%
Edmonson County
Registered Voters: 9,873
Ballots Cast: 2,199
Voter Turnout: 22.27%
Hart County
Registered Voters: 13,823
Ballots Cast: 1,909
Voter Turnout: 13.81%
Logan County
Registered Voters: 19,074
Ballots Cast: 1,975

Edmonson County, which had the highest voter turnout percentage, included a question on its ballot about the sale of alcoholic beverages in the Lincoln Precinct. Overall, unofficial results showed 68% (287) of voters answered against the sale of alcoholic beverages in that precinct.
Allen, Barren, Logan and Simpson counties remained under an 11% voter turnout, while Warren, Metcalfe, Hart and Butler counties had a voter turnout between 11% and nearly 14%.
