BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you didn’t know, there’s a company called Tnemec, that specializes in high-peformance coatings for a variety of things but water and wastewater largely. Every year since 2006, they’ve hosted the competition for “Tank of The Year” to highlight some of the unique water towers and tanks that use their products both inside and out.

News 40 spoke Brian Cheshire, the sales director for the water and wastewater market at Tnemec about the contest and a little bit about water tanks in general Cheshire said when it comes to water, you want to make sure that you’re protecting it from UV rays as well as corrosion that since 2006, it’s been something that the marketing teams have been really impressed with seeing how communities and local media rallies together to vote their towns tank the best.
