Vote for a WCPS teacher to win $10,000
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Twenty teachers across the United States are finalists in the Sunshine for Teachers program, and one of them is from right here in Kentucky.
Karigan Wilson, a fourth-grade science teacher at Rich Pond Elementary School, is among those competing for the grand prize. With enough community votes, Wilson could win $10,000 and free smoothies for a year.
However, for her, the real prize is creating new opportunities for her students. She hopes to use the funds to bring exciting, enriching experiences into the classroom.
“I hope they learn they can always push to be better and that more opportunities exist beyond what they see,” Wilson said.
Right now, Wilson is one of the top contenders in the program. To support her and cast your vote, click here.
