Volunteers serve the community as part of United Way’s Day of Caring

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Volunteers were hard at work in Wednesday’s intense heat, all part of United Way’s Day of Caring.

Members of American Bank and Trust came out to the Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center to give the space a refreshing new look. They did this by painting some areas and moving furniture.

United Way volunteers were also joined by the Bowling Green Fire Department, who joined in to serve for the day of caring.

Lindsey Sanson from American Bank and Trust says there’s no feeling like joining others and serving once again.

“We love to get involved in our community. We love to give back, we love to be involved with different events. This is just another way we can give back and help different organizations that might need assistance in any way,” Sanson said.

Through the day, volunteers were spread out in locations all through the area for the Day of Caring.
