Volunteers help spruce up Historic Railpark during Day of Caring
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- News 40 stopped by the Historic Railpark and Train Museum during United Way’s Day of Caring where a team of volunteers from Service One Credit Union put a little elbow grease into sprucing up popular spaces inside and out of the museum.
Volunteers cleaned and organized storage spaces while others cleaned up wood and baseboards on the train cars outside.
“It’s the little tasks that just take a few minutes but when you get a whole lot of volunteers in the community to come together to do small tasks, those minutes add up and make an impact on the community,” said volunteer Matt Hutcheson.
A few other organizations helped by the Day of Caring included Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center, Feeding America, and Logan County Good Samaritan.
