Volleyball coach offers incentive for potential bone marrow donor

Former WKU volleyball player Alyssa Cavanaugh is still looking for a bone marrow match as she battles leukemia.

Now WKU students have an extra incentive to sign up for the Be the Match Registry.

WKU volleyball head coach Travis Hudson has announced that if any student on the hill registers and ends up being a match for Cavanaugh, the long-time coach will pay the entire student’s tuition for the following semester.

Hudson also has ensured that if the student is no longer on campus when the match comes back, he will still pay for the last semester the student attended WKU.

For anyone still looking to take five minutes and sign up for the be the match registry, more information can be found at wkusports.com.
