Victim identified in Todd County murder investigation

GUTHRIE, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police released new information on a murder investigation in Todd County.
According to a release, KPS Post 2 responded to a shooting at Springmont Circle on the morning of March 8.
When deputies arrived, they located a male victim with apparent gunshot wounds lying in the roadway.
Following an investigation, 24-year-old Jerell Edmonds, of Guthrie, was identified as a suspect. He was arrested and charged with murder and fourth-degree assault, and possession of marijuana.
Edmonds was lodged at the Todd County Jail.
The murder victim has been identified as 24-year-old Evan Hall, of Guthrie. KSP says a second victim who sustained injuries from Edmonds was also at the scene. The second victim’s identity has not been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
