Veterans Resource Fair to be hosted at National Guard Armory

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Empowerment Group Making A Difference is a coalition of individuals hoping to serve community, and their latest venture is a veteran’s resource fair at 920 Morgantown Road on March 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

News 40 spoke to Barry Prude, a retired first sergeant with the United States Army, who told us that this is an event not only for veterans but family members as well. Prude said many times, spouses and kids aren’t at the top of mind when it comes to needing support, and he wants the community to know it’s just as much for them as the veterans and active military.

Prude said many organizations will be there to hand out information about how they could potentially help out and hopes that the message can reach as many people as it can before the big day. The organization has been planning the event for the last three to fou months.
