Veterans Alliance Center hosts fundraiser cookout

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Veterans Alliance Center hosted a community cookout Tuesday, offering fresh burgers and hot dogs to attendees.

Alongside the food, organizers collected clothing and non-perishable food items to support veterans and their families. The event provided a meaningful way for the public to give back to those who have served.

Tom Bridges, president of the Kentucky Veteran Brigade, said it’s important to create spaces where people can thank veterans and share their stories. He added that events like this give the community a chance to show appreciation in a personal way. Donations collected will go directly to veterans and their loved ones in need.
