Versatile artist, DAT BOII CG, talks music, inspiration, and upcoming release
BOWLING GREEN, KY.- Rising artist Christian “DAT BOII CG” Gardner shared how his journey into music began during the COVID era, when he finally found the courage to pursue a lifelong passion.
Despite always wanting to create, he admitted fear of judgment held him back for years.
“I just never had the guts to do it,” he said.
His music spans a wide range of genres, which he describes as a reflection of his personality and diverse musical tastes.
“I’m very versatile,” he said. “It really just depends on the mood I’m in.”
When asked about the message behind his music, DAT BOII CG said he hopes listeners connect with it in a positive and meaningful way. His time in the military, particularly during basic training and serving as a guard for seven months, gave him space to reflect and develop his sound.
“That time really shaped who I want to be as an artist,” he said.
It also allowed him to focus on writing, leading to a fresh creative direction. Now, he’s gearing up to release a new single titled Momentary Bliss on July 11. A clean, feel-good track for all ages, he describes it as a new sound that reflects his growth as an artist.
