Vehicle traveling wrong way on I-65 crashes into semi, says KSP

MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a head-on collision.

Public Affairs Officer Trooper Katan Parker says troopers responded to Interstate 65 southbound at mile marker 61 on Sunday afternoon after a wrong-way driver crashed into a semi-truck.

Trp. Parker says the driver of the vehicle was traveling in the wrong direction and was transported to The Medical Center at Caverna.

The driver of the vehicle has since been flown to UofL Hospital for continued treatment.

The extent of injuries is unknown.

Trp. Parker says I-65 is down to one lane as investigators reconstruct the crash.
