Vehicle strikes tree in Lewisburg, one flown for treatment

LEWISBURG, Ky. – Logan County first responders received a call in reference to a single vehicle accident on Saturday morning.

At approximately 8:48 am, the Russellville Rural Fire Department and law enforcement agencies responded to a single motor vehicle accident on Greenridge Spa Road.

At the scene, it was determined that a motor vehicle had struck a tree head on and was sideways in a ditch.

Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and extracted the operator from the vehicle.

The operator was treated by Logan County EMS before being flown by AirEvac at the scene.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Logan County EMS, Russellville Rural FD, Lewisburg FD, Logan County ECC, and Clay’s Towing responded to the call.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
