Vehicle fire temporarily closes northbound I-165 in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — On Sunday, crews from Woodburn Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire near mile-marker 2 on northbound I-165 just after 10 p.m.

According to a social media post, A Warren County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived on the scene first and found the fire had quickly spread to the entire vehicle. Emergency dispatch said the driver lost power steering in the vehicle just before the fire began under the hood, according to the post.

Authorities say the driver exited and moved away from the vehicle without injury. The fire temporarily shut down I-165 to allow firefighters to operate safely, with Kentucky State Police assisting with traffic control. The vehicle was declared a total loss.
