Vandal strikes Bowling Green theater, $500 reward for information

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A vandal struck the Public Theater of Kentucky over Memorial Day weekend.

PTK is located on Arts Ally, which includes Tidball’s, Pie House Studio and the House of Harper spa and salon. All of these locations have been vandalized recently.

Tidball’s just painted over their own vandalism from last week, and owner Brian Jarvis  believes the same creative mastermind seems to be the culprit. Jarvis is so frustrated by the vandalism, he has turned to Facebook to offer a $500 reward for the vandal’s information.

This isn’t the first time PTK has been vandalized. In the midst of this non-profit attempting to recover from COVID-19, vandals have smashed their lights, ruined their marquee and stolen items. Producing artistic director Amber Turner says the damage to their building alone will cost at least $1,000 to $2,000 to paint.

PTK will also pay for security cameras and motion sensor lights with money that’s not in their budget. Amber says the one good thing that has come out of this is support from the community. She says a lot of people have messaged the theater and told them they wanted to help out in any way possible.

If you know who might have tagged this building, contact local police and you may be able to claim Jarvis’ $500 reward.
