Valor Oil gives update on fire, ‘nothing we can’t replace’

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Further information has been released by Valor Oil after a fire at the company Wednesday in Bowling Green.

Company representatives say they’re still reviewing video but are glad everyone is safe.

Adam Boarman, a safety and compliance manager at Valor Oil, says they’re grateful to first responders for showing up once the blaze got too big to handle. Boarman said they’ve lost a truck, a building and some product but nothing they can’t replace.

Katie McKee, public information officer with the Bowling Green Fire Department, stated on Thursday that they have cleared the scene. As for the length of an investigation, McKee says everything moving forward is up to the business owner of Valor Oil.

All employees are safe, and all agencies involved have cleared the site of any danger.

Boarman said samples are being gathered downstream, but as of right now, everything is all clear, and there should be no danger to the public.
