Vaccine clinic closes, how to reschedule
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Med Center Health COVID-19 vaccine clinic closed on Monday and Tuesday this week due to the winter weather. But this leaves questions for people who were scheduled to get the second dose of the vaccine, as they are time sensitive.
Monday appointments are rescheduled for Saturday, February 20. Appointments on Tuesday, February 16 are rescheduled for Sunday, February 21.
Melinda Joyce with Med Center Health says even if people are unable to make the rescheduled appointments, there are still other days to get the vaccine within the timeframe and they will work with you to get you scheduled.
People who already had appointments scheduled for Saturday or Sunday will still have their appointments as well. With more people coming in to get their vaccines then, there may be longer wait times.
“It will be a larger than usual number and so we do have everything staffed appropriately for both days so we can make sure that people are in and out. May take just a little bit longer to go through the process than maybe what they’ve seen in the past but we’re going to have plenty of folks there and make sure that everything runs as smoothly as it can,” said Joyce.
The Med Center also announced that they will have reduced hours on Thursday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. If you have an appointment before then, please come within that time frame. To reschedule, text 270-796-3200 and write “RESCHEDULE” in the message.
