Vaccination clinics take place at Bowling Green Junior High and Bowling Green High School

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A local school district has teamed up with Med Center Health to take another step in keeping students safe.

Bowling Green Junior High and Bowling Green High School partnered with Med Center Health to offer the clinics. The clinic and the junior high school started at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, and the high school’s clinic started at 11:30 a.m.

At these clinics, students and even adult family members of students who wanted one had the chance to get a dose of the Pfizer vaccine. The vaccine is voluntary.

After the clinic at the junior high school, around 40 students had been vaccinated. Principal Robert Lightning said he’s thrilled to help provide this resource to his students.

“We’re super excited to have the kids back in the building with us, and just doing everything we can as far as following the guidelines and safety protocol to keep them here in the building throughout this school year,” Lightning said.

Anyone who received a dose at these clinics  will get the second dose at the same time and location on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
