Updated list of burn bans lifted

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Following rain, several burn bans have been lifted in the area.
According to the Team Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet, the following burn bans have been lifted in local counties:
- Allen
- Barren
- Edmonson
- Hart
- Logan
- Metcalfe
- Todd
- Warren County, with new restrictions
Warren County officials say judge-executive Doug Gorman rescinded the full burn ban Friday, however, there are new restrictions effective immediately that align with fall Fire Hazard Season.
These include that it is illegal to burn anything within 150 feet of any woodland or brushland between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., county officials say.
Officials say burn bans normally prohibit the following:
- Burning of forest, grass, crops, woodlands, marshes or other similar areas.
- Burning leaves or debris.
- Campfires, bonfires and warming fires.
- Open pit cooking and charcoal grilling.
- Use of fireworks and welding may also be prohibited or regulated.
In counties with lifted bans, citizens are still asked to remain cautious with outdoor burns.
News 40 will provide an update as additional updates are released.
