UPDATE: Second arrest made in shots fired incident on Chestnut Street

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A second arrest has been made following a shots fired report over the weekend on Chestnut Street.

According to the Bowling Green Police Department, 18-year-old Tanner May of Bowling Green was taken into custody on Tuesday.

Previously, police say they also arrested a 17-year-old male for his involvement.

The arrests are result of a shots fired report at the 1500 block of Chestnut Street on Sept. 28.

According to police, May is accused of firing multiple rounds from a semi-automatic rifle, with the majority of those shots striking a nearby home not related to the disturbance.

May is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment – discharge of firearm.

The investigation remains ongoing. Police say additional charges may be filed as more information becomes available.
