A second co-conspirator, Darris Allen, 42, of Bowling Green, was arrested on June 30.

The Bowling Green Police Department responded at 12:21 p.m. Wednesday to Martin Auto Mart, located at 1001 U.S. 31-W Bypass for a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, police say one dead male was found inside of the business, who was later identified as 39-year-old Dark.

According to court records, EMS arrived with officers on scene and attempted life-saving measures that were unsuccessful. Court documents say preliminary results of a medical examination confirmed Dark had multiple gunshot wounds.

Through investigation, court documents say authorities learned Allen was business partners with Dark and others in a local restaurant that recently closed.

Authorities say surveillance footage from near the scene shows a suspect enter the business before numerous shots are heard before the same person exits the building. The suspect later left in a vehicle, according to the complaint.

Court records further state that authorities located the suspect vehicle that matched the one seen in the surveillance video.

At 11:44 a.m., court records state the vehicle drives down and stops, with a male exiting the front passenger side. Shortly after, court records say eight shots can be heard before the male walks out of the business and reenters the vehicle before it leaves the area.

BGPD says the case remains open and the investigation is ongoing.
