UPDATE: More than 100 adoptions take place during code red at local shelter

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – You may remember last week when we reported that the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society was in code red.

Thanks to the community, over 100 cats and dogs are now in their forever homes.

The Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society says that 152 adoptions took place last weekend during their code red event.

The shelter says the best way to keep pets out of the shelter is by spaying and neutering your own animals.
