UPDATE: Man reportedly struck, killed while at mailbox in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian.

Sheriff Brett Hightower says deputies responded to 5329 Penns Chapel Road to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle at approximately 11 am Thursday.

Hightower says the caller said a male walked out into the roadway and was hit by a vehicle.

The victim was reportedly walking back to his car from his mailbox.

Hightower says the male victim was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County Coroner’s Office.

The WCSO Reconstruction Team and UAS Team conducted further investigations.

The roadway was closed for several hours.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
