UPDATE: Father indicted on charges in son’s death in Butler County

BUTLER COUNTY, Ky. – A father is indicted on a murder charge following his son’s death in Butler County.

On Nov. 21, court records say that an indictment was filed on Carl Martin, 81, of Rochester on charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence.

The charges stem from Oct. 24, when the Morgantown Police Department says a dispute resulted in the death of Carl Martin’s son, 49-year-old Jason Martin.

News 40 has not yet received autopsy results for Jason Martin but will provide an update when that information is released.

This case remains an ongoing investigation by the Morgantown Police Department.

Court records state Martin’s bond has been set at $250,000 cash.
